Is there a way to modify the "view image" option?

2 New Member
I have a website that contains lots of pictures on a single page. In order to make it so that it doesn't take forever for the pages to load, I have small picture files on my web host's server. Each picture is only 244 by 200 pixels. However, now that I use small pictures, if a person right-clicks on any of the pictures and chooses the "view image" option from the menu, they can only see the small picture instead of the picture in its original size. So here's my question. Is there any way that I can make it so that when someone uses the "view image" option, they are shown a picture that has been saved as a different name on my web host's server? That way, I can keep the small pictures on the main page, and have a different picture used if they right-click and use the "view image" option.

I realize that I could just have the images saved in their original size on the server, and use the "width" and "height" options to specify a smaller size when using the "<img>" tag. However, this slows the page way down when it tries to load. Spreading the images out over multiple pages is a possible solution. But I'm really trying to avoid this since a big goal is to have easy access to lots of the pictures at once on a single page.

Is this possible? Can I control the right-click/"view image" option with HTML by making it go to a different picture source?

I realize that I could make it so that the user can just click the picture and be taken to a different page that displays the original picture with its full size. But my site is set up so that if someone clicks the picture, they'll be taken to a predesignated site that doesn't always show the picture. So I'm trying to avoid this option also.

Thanks so much for your time and willingness to help. All responses are greatly appreciated.

I have a page with images that the user can drag from one frame to another. I need them to see a "ghost image" of the image they are dragging, while the original stays put. I use the onmousemove event to keep the ghost image under the mouse pointer. There are three problems: (1) if the ghost image is dragged so it is partially off the edge of the screen, scrollbars appear. This not only looks bad, it can cause the page to autoscroll...

I am developing my website in C#, and making all buttons "Input Type=Image", because I want rollover capabilities. They work perfectly, as long as the user is using the mouse. I have one web page that has 3 different buttons. I would like the enter key to default to a specific button (or one specific function). How do I do that?

AC97 on WinXP, Image control on a Form and on a Report. I have followed the advice on the following MVPS page: http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0038.htm This states that after changing the Registry setting for the progress bar to 'no' that it should no longer display. I have made the change, but the progress bar continues to display. Am I missing something? Does the PC need to be rebooted after the

Currently using the "document.images" to "preload" images - not for future pages, but for the page being loaded. I got it from http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/imagetooltip.htm Its a nice script - pops up an img on mouseover. I understand that its downloading SOMETHING - but its not rendering.... THE QUESTION: How does "preloading" these images (into cache, as I have read) affect page size, page load, etc. I cannot find...

Greetings! My situation is this. I currently have a database of which in a form displays jpeg pictures (one at a time) which are linked to the db and stored in a separate folder. I have set up a report with an image control do display/print 4 pictures on a page. When the report opens (in preview mode) the "loading image" dialog flashes 4 times (once for each picture) which isn't a huge deal, but is annoying. There have been several...

I found a problem with my application when using "innerhtml" to replace the content from the server after making an ajax call. The display is perfectly correct, but when I use "view source" on the browser, I found the "source" is still the old content the same as before I replaced them with the "innerhtml". This causes some problem with my other dynamic links based on the content of the page as they pull the old content instead of the new...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
