There is no visual difference.

W3Schools defines the "hidden" value for the border-style property as "The same as "none", except in border conflict resolution for table elements"

The border conflict resolution solves the situation of having two neighbouring elements, one with a defined border style and another with a border style of none with border collapse set to collapse. In this case the border style none would be over written by the neighbouring elements border. Setting the value to hidden instead of none would ensure that no border be placed around the element.

Here is a link that may explain more clearly and more in-depth than I have.

I have been trying to find a way to use JavaScript to change the value of a hidden field on submit. I am already invoking a JavaScript to handle the validation on submit. The reason I need to change this field is some of the forms have two buttons on them, each needs to process the form differently. If I can change the value of the hidden field dynamically it will solve my issue as I can run each against a diffent cgi. Currently my...

I'm trying to use document.getElementByID inside a function where the ID is passed as an argument. I get the same error ("Element has no properties") on the same statement inside the commonCheck function with either MS IE 6.0 or Mozilla Firefox 0.9. Comments below indicate that if I hardcode an element ID I can avoid the error, but I obviously want to parameterize it. Here are some snippets of my code: -----snippet...

Hallo NG, I am new to JavaScript and would really appreciate any help to solve my problem. I am using the blow code in my form to validate form fields. What I would like to accomplish is that if when the list/menu (attribute6) value is "Ja" then to make the TextField Pas Nr (attribute4) required. And if when the list/menu (attribute6) value is "Nee" to make the TextField Pas Nr (attribute4) not required.

Hi, I've used information on these newsgroups to build many pages. So I thought that now that I have my script working (something that I've been working on for about a week), I should post it so that it may help others. If posting this script is against the rules in this group then please accept my appologies. I developped this script so that I can add and remove rows in a table in which I have various input fields and I would use the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
