In my <http://www.rossde.com/inflation.html>, I have a small table
in the middle of the page. This page is composed without a
DOCTYPE statement at the beginning. The table borders appear to
my browser (Mozilla) as raised with a slight shadow to the right
and below. The borders are specified with the "border" attribute
in the <table> tag:
<table border cellpadding=2 width="100%">
and not via a style sheet.
If I add a DOCTYPE...

I've searched around and don't find the following incident discussed
specifically.
First, a comment from an experience programmer new to JavaScript:
While I am new to javascript, I've programmed in a dozen other
languages for decades, and now have been working in javascript
intensively for several weeks. My first comment -- which has nothing
to do with this problen -- is on how its richness makes it so
difficult to provide adequate...

I posted a very long message regarding my experiences with JavaScript,
one reply was posted asking I post an example of the problem -- and
both are gone! Is there a moderator that removes such stuff?
In any case, here is the issue in brief:
I want to keep the page invisible while my onload script decides how
to format it, setting colors, downloads images, etc. The style
"visibility:hidden" in the body tag almost does it -- except...

Please explain to a experienced fool like me, how to hide table rows
correctly at this case.
http://marekmand.kuubik.ee/iebug_canthide_table_rows_properly.htm
Click on the header "label" and see how IE6 SP1 draws the borders
wrongly. How it can be patched?
Does that mean, that with the collapsed border table model one cannot
set the display of rows successfully with no side effects in IE6 SP1?

I have created an excel report and i have visual basic macros running. Now i want to insert borders using VB macros. How do i do that? If the report returns 5 row then the border should be around those 5 rows, and If the report returns 10 row then the border should be around those 10 rows. INSERT BORDERS BASED ON THE NUMBER OF RETURNED ROWS.

Hi Guys,
I am having some trouble with some tables. What I want to do is make it so that the table prints out on paper with the table borders.
The borders are there on the web page in the browser but when you print onto paper, if the table goes over one page, it only prints borders on the first page.
Can anyone help me please? I'd really appreciate it, I'm a student on industrial placement.
Cheers,
Laura

Hi,
I have a table A , table B and table C.
Table B is kind of a bridge to table A and table C (i.e it has common columns that bridges table A and table C)
I have a colun in table A whose value is mismatching with that of table C. I need to update table A using table C but I don't have common columns except the column itself which I need to update. i need to do a join in order to update. I don's know how to write this query. If anyone can...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
