Hi all
Are there any good solutions to aligning form field names and input boxes
without resorting to tables? I am struggling to do this nicely at the
moment.
Thanks
Ciao

Both validate without errors or warnings under W3C validators.
This should look like this screenshot (44K)

made with Mozilla 1.4. But MSIE 6.0, under Win98 or WinXP, leaves
off all the borders of the table cells. Print Preview does look
correct under MSIE6.

This may seem a pointless question, but I'm trying work around an
inconsistency between browsers.
I have a template that contains a division that holds a text that
sometimes exists and sometimes not. I use top and bottom borders to
separate this material from its environment:
.header {
font-size: smaller;
border-bottom: solid black thin;

A form in my database has multiple subforms. If any subform has no data, the
borders of the subform still display on screen and also are printed if I

I have a table with 3 columns in 1 row. I want to increase the spacing
_between_ the columns (gutter) _without_ increasing the spacing between
those columns and the table itself. Is there a way to do that in CSS
without having to code in extra dummy columns in HTML to create gutters?

I have a page containing a table which displays as expected but which,
when printed from either Firefox or Camino, loses some of the vertical
borders between cells in both the table head and body. It does not
do this in Safari, but then Safari also does not include the background
colours when printing. (When I print, I'm missing the borders between
columns 5 & 6, 8 & 9, and 10-12. All the other borders appear correctly)
Is this some...

I'm wondering if it's possible within HTML markup (or possibly CSS) to
specify that an HTML table's headers should be placed 'over' the cell
borders rather than 'within' the cells.
For example (requires monospace font):
Default:
+--------------------+
| H1 H2 H3 |
+--------------------+

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
