Auto populating drop down menus on same HTML form

36 New Member
Lo all,

this probably sounds fairly easy but the problem i am having is that I want on the input details form to access mySQL to populate a select menu. This will allow me to link the input data from the user to a previous time without them having to type in an exact match in case it wrong. I would like the select menu to use an input from that screen, the project name, to limit the number of select options.

Any help much appreciated!

What problems on the HTML are you having? What language are you using?

Edit:
Notice from another thread that you started that you are using PHP. Your PHP code should be able to populate the menu for you.

Drop-down menus are the hottest thing since Wonder Bread but . . . 1. Alot of people put them in the they-look-nice-but-you-cant-code-them-right-so-they-always-look-messed-up category (a la "frames"). Do you think this is true> 2. Some people think they take up too much KB. 3. Some people are worried that people who have javascript turned off wont be able to see them. What percent of web users have javascrips turned off? I thought it was...

Now the just reset when I press the "Back" button. Is it possible to save the options...

Hi all, Looking for a bit of help if possible. For about 2 weeks now I've been investigating the best way to populate related drop down menus, and have their values pre-populated again if the user clicks back with their selected options still selected - and I'm getting to the point where I might just popup a big window, perhaps with some flash in it and say "dont be lazy, select em again you great big freak of nature" because I am...

Here is the code for a sample drop-down menu that I created. <form><select name="menu" style="font-family:'Calligrapher';color:#993333;background-color:#FFFFFF;font-size:10pt;"><option value="http://www.localwebsolutions.com/local-business-marketing-online.html">Marketing Online</option><option...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
