Hi friends,
for the last two+ weeks, I was hacking on the internals
of stackless, in order to make things cleaner, smaller,
more natural and more complete.
This patch is a quite essential refactoring of the internals,
enhancing functionality at the same time. On the other hand,
semantics are almost not touched.

I have an assignment due mid next week that I have completed. I was hoping
someone could take a look at the code and tell me what they think of the
style. Id like to know if this is good code that I can be proud of or if my
technique still needs some work. What can be improved? I created an htm
page that first lists the assignment, and under that is my code. I think
the code is good, but Ive thought that before...

Hi there,
I just added a search function (google) into a site I'm creating.
http://business.aem.cornell.edu/academics/index.htm
But, being that the site is made in frames, the Google results come up
in a frame and I want it to come up on top (target="_top") but how do I
assign a target to the forms submit button?

I'm trying some new ideas, mostly just changing the stylesheet. It's
pretty rough so far. Some of the photos won't work on the "new" site,

Hi,
Is it possible to simulate frames behaviour with CSS?
Currently, I've used CSS to create the visual look of my old framed
site.
For this I've used styles that place the images at absolute positions.
Then I thought, if I fixed the image positions, the images will stay
put and the 'body' will scroll up, like in frames.

OK. After much playing around, I managed to get my frame page this
far.. see code below.
BUT...there are still errors with it, and what I would like to have
happened is this:
1) On the Left Frame (File LeftEx8_2.html) a series of buttons, which
when clicked prompt the user to enter information for background
color, text color, link color, title and some text.

I wrote some functionality for a Web Page with Javascript. My code works
perfectly for Firefox but not for IE.
I become some errors apparently all based in the same problem wich
scapes to my knowledge. If anyone can help me, i would be really grateful.
These are the errors i was speaking about:

Is the difference between calling a HTML page by it location
(axWebBrowser.Navigate("C:projecthome\home.htm" ref 0, ref 0, ref 0,
ref 0)) and being able to access the frames in that page using
public HTMLWindow2 GetFrame(HTMLDocument myDoc, string name)
{
bool exist = false;
HTMLWindow2 frame = null;
HTMLWindow2 window = (HTMLWindow2)myDoc.parentWindow;

Hi,
I am in a mouseup event for button A and I'd like to disable=false button B
before starting some work. Is there anyway that an event for button B can
then fire before my event processing for button A's mouseup has completed?
I beleive event processing to be single-threaded for good reason but I need
a "stop" button and it's no good if it doesn't do anything until the other
processing has finished :-)

Hi,
I have a website http://www.projectvtu.com
Now this website has frames in all of its pages. The problem I am facing now is that the website works very well on my subnet at home.
But, I have started gettin complaints that the pages are not being displayed completely from a few people. They are also using IE 6.0 which I knew upon enquiry. I think the problem could be with the frames. But at the same time I know that IE 6.0 supports...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
