Looking For A Complete Working Code For A Vertical Tool Bar.

7 New Member
Hello To All,
This forum is cool!
I’m in the process of building a better web site http://www.chrisscoral s.com
On the left frame "Left side of the page" I need a complete working vertical scrollbar in either html code, or java script.
I'm out of room and need to expand down but viewers cannot see past my links.

What can I do? I used some codes like the buttons and making links but the vertical scroll bar doesn’t show.

If you have any tips on how to make my site better please let me know.
Thanks for your time
Chris.

I agree with Alison for the comments and suggestions. I don't really understand the bar as well. Do you want a scrolling navigation or a scroll bar to scroll data with on the left side instead of the usual right? Either way though, it would be bad design and programming practice. A simple, effective, clean navigation is the way to go. If there's too much stuff, you may consider using Javascript with drop downs, but never scrolling. Or if you meant scroll data using a tool on the left, it's even worse. Web users will not be used to having a scroll bar on the left.

Chris,
I am in agreeance with the user who posted do NOT handle payments by yourself. This is a very tricky process and you don't want to leave anything to chance when dealing with other persons money. As for the site are you planning to redesign? If so let us know, we'd be more than happy to help.

Regards,
Aric

Hello To All,
I just built this web site it took only one day. I would like to re create this web site to make it professional. I need each option. I will redo the site. I will get rid of all the flash. I’ll keep this site more plain and sample. As for as the scroll bar I want one in the navigation frame but I'll try and use a basic web page design and see what the out come would be.

I want to have the page filled with links. I'll also get rid of the top frame and make a small banner for the site.

I will make 3-4 page web sites. When finished I'll make another post to let you know its there. Look at it then give me your feedback.

If any one knows of some good web sites that are laid out please let me know.

I'll get rid of the background as well. I didn’t really car for it. I'll use a blue color. For the background what do you think is better color to use light blue or ocean blue? I'll use the light blue but if anyone thinks I should use a darker blue let me know.

I don’t need a vertical bar now. Sorry.

Thanks Again,
Chris

I already use and am happy with a variety of text editors (vim, emacs, ultraedit, jedit, Homesite) depending on my needs, but I would like recommendations for a PHP specific IDE that will run on Windows XP. Specifically I am looking for something that can help with debugging, provides efficient code browsing (functions, objects, etc) across multiple files in a project, easy browsing through proper mappings to a development server/local...

Hi, Hopefully this is not too much offtopic. I'm working on a FAQ. I want to make two versions of it, plain text and HTML. I'm looking for a tool that will make a plain text doc out of the HTML doc. The HTML version doesn't have anything fancy, just internal links. So the tool must be able to delete internal links and anchors from the HTML version, but leave external links in simplified form. That is, the HTML version would say <a...

I've almost completed a small project with MS SQL 2000 server in the BE and Access 2003 in the FE. 5 concurrent users, 30 tables, 35 forms and subforms, 13 reports. Not so happy in the beginning as soon as Access Event Model was shown (Crappy at minimum, even compared with not-anymore-existant tools), very unhappy when the project is almost completed. Main concerns: - User interface VERY slow (UI redraw on not so complex forms, don't...

Folks: Thank you all for your replies. I'll reply briefly to each key point: Thanks! You are probably correct. I wanted to be aware of other options, that's all. Part of what got me in this mess is not finding out enough before I jumped in.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
