Accessing This Newsgroup Messages through Email

I access the group through Google Groups. I know how many hate that.
Even so I like it, as our ISP account has bad customer service and we
cannot get the setup thru Outlook Express to work to access newsgroups
that way.

My issue is this: with all the other newsgroups the messages are
separate on each line. I click on a message and it opens in a new
window. Not so with this group. The "dot" in the name of the links
seems to mess it up. The "hover" color changes from one half of the
address to the other, depending on mouse position. If I choose either
side, it produces a blank page.

I can view the messages from the site, but would like the view the
messages from Email as I do the other groups. Any ideas why the Email
page is improperly displayed and/or I cannot access individual threads?

Sounds like this is a quirk in the way your e-mail reader (OE or
web-based) detects URLs in plaintext messages and formats them as
hyperlinks. Until the developer of your e-mail interface corrects
this, your only options are to cut/paste the URL into the address bar
of a new web browser window, or use a different e-mail interface (which
probably requires directing your Google Groups mail to a different
e-mail address).

I receive message summaries from this newsgroup via Google Groups in
Abridged format at my Gmail inbox, which I access using Gmail's
web-based interface. It works for me.

Hi everyone, I'm hoping for a little bit of advice on the following. I am in the process of making a small application that can send, receive and store email messages. The current area that I am thinking about is how to store messages on the hard disk and access them when needed. I dont want to read all the messages in at runtime because that would make startup take to long. What I think I need to do is to load a 'header' file at...

Hi All, To allow myself to make development changes directly on a remote server *without* having to compile on my local dev machine and then upload the dll's to remote, I have created a RunBatch.aspx on the remote which calls a batch file (myBuild.bat) on the same machine, and this batch file executes the necessary command-line compiler instructions to recompile (code below). So far (fingers crossed) it seems to be working. The only...

Does anyone know why i can't access a form element value using dot notation in firefox, when i'm in a function. Works ok in the body. I'm trying to do this: var FarTemp = faren.temp.value; I can get at the value using the array method, the getelements by id method, and the bracket-with-the-element-name in it method. But the dot notation doesn't work, in firefox, in the function (which i have in the head).

I have a Wizard page and need to affect the next and previous buttons from my code-behind. I've googled around and found two solutions, and neither appear to work. I can access the SideBarList steps successfully with the following code... Control myContainer = (Control)Wizard1.FindControl("SideBarContainer"); DataList mySideBarList = (DataList)myContainer.FindControl("SideBarList");

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
