Drop down menu problem (Firefox vs IE)

Hi,

I've got some problems with horizontal drop down menu. It looks fine
under Firefox, a mess under IE.

I've noticed the following differences/problems:
- Extra space between menu items and bottom border
- Disapearing sub <ul>s after second sub menu items.
- Space between the last sub menu item and the rest

I've tried different tricks but I couldn't find any reasonable
solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, I have adapted a drop down menu from USC webpage (www.usc.edu). The link to my page is http://www-scf.usc.edu/~swarup/test/test.html The links to the CSS ans JS files are: http://www-scf.usc.edu/~swarup/test/Templates/dropdown.css http://www-scf.usc.edu/~swarup/test/Templates/default.js The problem I'm facing is that in IE 6 when the mouse gets over the drop down menu it does not display sometimes (and sometimes it does).

I have an javascript made menu and some forms with the dropdown element. When the menu opens and scrolls down the drop down is displeyed over the menu and obscures the menu choices. I have this problem only in IE, in firefox it works ok. Is there a solution to this problem? I tried to hide the drop down when the menu opens but sometimes the menu covers only a small part of the drop down, but enough to obscure the menu choice. I would...

Hi I am using a drop down menu adapted from the one in Stylin with CSS by Charles Wyke Smith. The CSS is below. It works perfectly in Internet Explorer (using the csshover behaviour file) but in Firefox (and presumably other standards compliant browsers) it indents the menu on the screen then indents the drop down box by (seemingly) the same amount. So, there is a gap between the edge of the screen and the first item in the menu and...

I am trying to figure out what is the minimal simplest CSS I can have to accomplish a row of tabs, with one or more tabs having a drop-down menu when you hover over it -- AND the whole tab+menu markup must consist of only nested unordered lists. I don't care if the hover-dropdown part fails to works in IE -- if not, the tabs are still clickable links that load a page having the submenu choices on it anyway. I *do* care that the tabs...

Hello, Contrary to what my screen name indicates, i'm actually quite new to SQL. Having said that, I'll get right into my problem. I'm trying to query an mssql database to return to the value that the user inputs through a drop-down menu in the databases GUI front-end (bugzilla actually). For example, a product is selected in a drop-down menu, and, depending on the product chosen, a second drop-down menu becomes active, containing a list...

This Drop Down Menu completely uses DIV's, but i need an IE fix so that I can drop the menu instead of putting it to the side. Firefox displays the menu correctly so look at it in firefox and then look at it in IE. http://www.nwtechonline.com/~kendalk07a/alvaschools/index2.html If you can help I would be greatly endowed to you. Thanks,

I'm trying to create a drop down menu based off of some tutorials, but am having trouble. Link: http://drc.usask.ca/projects/emet/indextest.html css: http://drc.usask.ca/projects/emet/emet.css biggest problem is that in firefox 3 and worse in Safari a horizontal scroll bar pops up in the middle of the screen (and stays in Safari) when the drop down menus pop up (i.e. are mouse-overed). Also having trouble with spacing in Firefox...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
