Cooperative Website Translation Project

I have started a new project called "Free Localization"
http://www.freelocalization.co*m/ .
Free Localization is a collaborative translation project to help
webmasters get free multilingual versions of their web site. There are
many webmasters who understand English but are native speakers of
another language. Thanks to the multicultural nature of its users, Free

Localization effectively enables online peer to peer translations.
Users can manage, coordinate and exchange website translations by means
of a complete set of online localization tools.
The service is free.

I need to translate some Perl scripts into Python. When I went looking for a tool that would help automate the translation, I was rather surprised that I couldn't find anything. BridgeKeeper, the only real candidate that I could find, is no longer available. There are of course general-purpose parsing packages, but I'm looking for...

A (renewed) effort has been launched by Guillaume Lelarge (with the help of Jerome Seyler and myself) to translate PostgreSQL to French. The goal is to translate the various applications, the manuals (doc and man pages), as well as the FAQs. Even if we are not starting completely from scratch, since some elements of previous versions had...

I have a php/mysql site and I am wondering if anyone has suggestions about strategies for making it bilingual or resources on how to do this. I thought of one way which would be to replace the text with calls to a database which has all the text in it. But I would prefer to have a single file with phrases and then just be able to translate...

Hi - What's the difference between a website, a project, and a solution when it comes to pure ASP.NET programming? I have a "solution." I can migrate this to my production web server just by dragging a folder to a network connection. Presumably some JIT magic occurs on the server machine to compile the project and place the code into...

Hi, I'm having a few issues adapting to new 2.0 "website" project vs. the old 1.1 "web application". One of the major issues I'm having is with the notion of namespaces. Using the old way, I could add a directory to my project (say, "Controls"), then add a user control to that directory. From an .aspx I could then import the namespace...

What's the preferred (best) way to start a website project in VS 2005? I know of 2 ways and each creates a site differently and has different behavior. Open VS 2005 1) from the start page click on Create, then select asp.net web application. This creates a properties folder and references folder in solution explorer. 2) go to the...

Hi all. I found cooperative multi-threading(only one thread runs at once, explicit thread switching) is useful for writing some simulators. With it, I'm able to be free from annoying mutual exclusion, and make results deterministic. For this purpose, and inspired by Ruby(1.9) fiber, I wrote my own version of fiber in Python.

What, from a high level point of view, is the difference (in Visual Studio 2005) between Website (accessed with Open Website or Create Website from the StartPage) that is an ASP.NET Website, and a Project that is created with the "ASP.NET Application" template? I see some obvious differences: the Project creates the working folder under...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
