Works on Mac. Not PC. Arggh.

Problem: I have a Mac.

I got this page working on my Mac, tested in FOUR different browsers
(Mozilla, Explorer, Opera, iCab):
http://www.efn.org/~bsharvy/manlesbos.shtml

One day, I look at it from the public library (Explorer/Windows) and
the CSS linking to the poll (bottom of page) is completely screwed up.
Not displaying corrrectly at all. I can't figure out what is wrong by
looking--thinking it might be a bug in Explorer/Windows. The problem
is, I have no way to debug because the problem *only* happens in
Windows, and I have only a Mac. Any suggestions on 1) how to fix a
Windows-only problem in a Mac-only work environment, 2) what the
problem on the page might be?

Not surprising. Internet Explorer for Mac and Internet Explorer for
Windows are two completely different browsers. They have nothing in common
except the name. Seriously.
Any suggestions on 1) how to fix a Windows-only problem in a Mac-only

Virtual PC?
VNC into a friend's Windows box and run Internet Explorer from there?
Use a service like browsercam.com?
Find a friend using Linux/x86 and WINE and use X11 to display IE/win on
your screen?

What is "completely screwed up"? I see nothing wrong, either in IE6 or
Mozilla v1.7 on a PC. Since I do not know what is supposed to be there, I
cannot say why it isn't.

I fixed it. The problem was that IE/Windows doesn't handle
:first-letter very well. Removing that pseudo-class caused IE/Windows
to draw the border correctly around the text.

Casting arrays that works on watch and command window but not in code. My application is casting arrays in a way it should work. To test if I was doing something invalid, I wrote a test code that has similar structure of the classes in my application. The test worked fine, the casting I want to do must work. I compared the structure of the test with the application to ensure they where similar (inheriting twice, base class implements...

Hello i have a strange problem. I'm using LogonUser to impersonate the user under which my program must run. On Win XP or Server 2003 it works. But on 2000 it doesn't. So i found out, to set SE_TCB_NAME privileg - it doesn't work. Then i read somewhere that this only work for local users and not domain users and so the changes in the domain policy don't work. But the strangest thing i've found out after some tests: LogonUser works...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
