Sandeep,

You have posted your question in the Member Introductions forum. As is clearly stated in the subject of this sticky post, NO questions are supposed to be posted into that forum. Your question, because it lacks information, has been moved by me to the Miscellaneous Questions forum.

What this post lacks is what type of script? ie: Perl, shell, etc.

Also, please know that this is not s scripting service. Instead, you have posted into a learning forum. You will not be handed a script to do what you want. You will have to do the leg work and write the script. Should you get stuck, you can post your code back here in a forum that fits the topic of your question and we will assist you.

If you post code in the forums, please be sure to place the proper, necessary code tags around your code.

Regards,

Jeff

Hey, Can anyone give me a snippet for running a python program over all the files in the directory. For ex: I have ten files in a directory and I want to run a python program against all of these files, I wish to do the same using another python code instead of running each of these files one by one, which would be cumbersome giving the argv of each file every single time. This can be easily done using a shell script but I just...

Does the file extension matter when including a JavaScript file in an HTML page? Normally, one would include a JavaScript file in an HTML page using <script src="foo.JS" type="text/javascript"> However, I have found that I can use an alternate file extension, such as <script src="foo.HTML" type="text/javascript"> It works fine with my IE 6 and Mozilla. Will it work with other browsers?

I help manage a large web site, one that has over 600 html pages... It's a reference site for ham radio folks and as an example, one page indexes over 1.8 gb of on-line PDF documents. The site is structured as an upside-down tree, and (if I remember correctly) never more than 4 levels. The site basically grew (like the creeping black blob) ... all the pages were created in Notepad over the last

Right. I've got a really, really annoying/difficult/time consuming problem with my development environment. I'm using django to build a web app with paypal integration. My server is hosted remotely, and it is receiving IPN (payment notifications) POST requests from Paypal. I've checked on google and irc and this is my last shot at solving this before I go mad ... :-( The problem is that I can't debug those POST requests. Browser...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
