I'm reading a lot of talks lately about the term iFrame and with your
permission would like to ask a few question about that :
- what is iFrame, i mean what is it good for ?
- does all the popular browsers support it (mostly mozilla & the much
hated IE, google says the do but nothing is better that experienced answer)
- iFrames replaces the old frames once used in html to show a number of
pages in a single windows, right ?
- what are...

We have a Web page that at load time will execute and
build: a DHTML Menu/Data Driven, an Iframe with Detail
Data, an Iframe to display Progress Information and
another iframe with totals information of the previous
iframe with Detail Data. Everything works fine except
during the initial load. If we click on any place of the
page during the above loading schema, the process stops
and we end-up with Iframes with incomplete information...

I got IFrames which overlap other (I)Frames to be transparent (except
for actual content) on Mozilla and Netscape, but not on IE.
I'm currently using style="background:transparent;" to accomplish
this, but it doesn't work for IE. Anyone know of a way to make it
happen in IE?
Please email a response to spayeur@comcast.net. Thanks!

In a javascript-heavy page, an iframe is created to hold information
from a secondary server CGI process, and the resulting data (in the
iframe) is used to rewrite some content in the main page. To do this
transparently, the iframe is created with style="display: none".
This scheme works great in IE and Mozilla; but Opera apparently doesn't
load the frame, for some reason. We've seen this behavior using this code
and the Javascript shell...

I'm developing a portal for our intranet where multiple pages are being
shown inside several iframes on a single page.
The problem i've ran into, is that it seems as if IIS6/ASP.Net serializes
the requests
by the user and only processes one *nugget* (iframe) at a time.
It handles multiple requests by different users at the same time just fine,
just for any one user it only processes 1 request at a time.

1. Are IFrames supported only in uplevel versions of IE? If not IE
exclusively, what browsers support IFrames?
2. Are IFrames going to be supported in the future - as far as anyone
knows - or have they been deprecated and will no longer be supported in the
future?
Please note that I'm *not* asking for opinions on the merits of using
IFrames or IFrames vs regular framesets or any other such...

I have a web form let's say 'YYZ.aspx'.
It has an iframe in it.
When it loads it shows progress bar in IE this way: loading for page then
again loading for page in iframe.
This part is fine.
Problem is when I put page 'YYZ.aspx' in iframe of another page, let's say
'Home.aspx'.
In short: (page (page in iframe(page in iframe) ) )
Progress bar shows ones (fast), then second time(kind of fast) and then
third time. And this time it never...

Hi guys. I have two nestes IFRAMES in one of my pages. The main page has an
Iframe that points to an aspx page, this page has another Iframe that points
to a regular html file. My problem is when resizing the IE window I loose
the inner Iframe, it disappears for some reason. Any ideas??
Thanks a lot,
Alex.

One thing I like about frames is that they're a good place to stow
Javascript. Javascript that I'd like to be around while the visible
content of the screen changes goes in the frame declaration HTML file.
It never needs to be reloaded and JS variables can be updated there as
the visible screens progress.
But...if I want to be a good internet samaritan and not use frames,
what's the best way to replace that function?

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
