On the weekend I ended up picking up a new HP-iPaq PocketPC to help organize my everyday life.
My boyfriend was so impressed with my new toy that he traded his Palm in for the same HP-iPaq that I'd picked up.
Later that night, to his horror, he discovered that there was no reader for the PocketPC that would work for his EBooks that he loves so much.
Does anyone know of anything out there that we could use to let him read his be-loved books?
Thanks

Isn't there a version of Acrobat Read that runs on the iPaq?

Isn't there a version of Acrobat Read that runs on the iPaq?
Thanks for the quick reply!
Will Acrobat Read read the palm e-book format?
I don't have any of the e-book files to try it out with.
I'm sure its possible that Acrobat Read could run on the iPaq...it has Windows CE on it.
I'm just wondering if it'll read the e-books?
Thanks!

TBH I don't know, I'm not sure what format Palm ebooks are, I just know the Acrobate comes with a ebook reader now-a-days

Apparently Acrobat Reader shrinks the e-book down to a size that will fit the screen. Since a PDA's screen is small this isn't ideal. Its not the greatest reader.
Is there anything else that I could use?
Thanks

I know this topic comes up every so often - so I thought I would annoy
everyone and ask again.....
I am looking for a way to write PHP apps on a Palm based computer.
Why? Because I like PHP, and the whole Palm OS paradigm is very
web-server like (from a user point of view).
If the you envionsion a plam screen as a web browser and the Palm DB as
either a database or file system, you could easily and quickly build
PHP apps for palms.

Hello,
Currently I used Biomobility's DataOnTheRun for the Pocket PC. It's a
little slow, but it does exactly what I need -- and it does it well.
Unfortunately, now I need to have the same thing for the Palm OS and,
unfortunately, DataOnTheRun is Pocket PC only.
Can anyone please point me to reviews of such software? There seem to
be dozens of these kinds of tools, but no where to go to research the
differences.

I wondered if some people have recent experiences to share and what tools
they chose, to connect with an Access db (either batch update or wireless).
The little application that I have in mind is stock taking for inventory. I
have a very good experience with my old faitful Palm IIIE (not for this
application). But Pocket Pc seems to have caught up and PocketPc just
gives me the impression to be simpler now. Maybe I am wrong. I want the...

Hi.
Does anyone know of any resources about programming for the Palm OS
using C#? There may very well not be any yet, but I'm curious, and my
attempts at googling the answer weren't successful.
Thank you very much!

Does anyone have a method of determining if a visitor to a web page is using
a Palm or Blackberry mobile device?
With the code below, I can easily identify a Window CE, Pocket PC or Window
Mobile device, but am having trouble with the Palm.
My problem is that for those individuals I know who use Palms to access the
Internet, their browser is called Blazer and it returns an operating system
of Win98 and a browser of IE--hardly anything...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
