I have been looking at a simple example of a scrolling text box (the one in
the SAM book) as below:
<script language="JavaScript">
var pos=100;
function Scroll() {
if (!document.getElementById) return;
obj=document.getElementById("thetext");
pos -=1;
if (pos < 0-obj.offsetHeight+130) return;

The only reason I made the continuous forms form into a subform is because I
like the scrolling behavior better. For example, I don't like how the
vertical scrollbar spans the height of the entire form, but if it's inside a
subform, then it's only as high as the subform. Maybe we have more control
over how scrollbars work, but I don't know about it if there is. The main
reason for this post is that when the user is at or near the bottom...

I am a good programmer, but this one stumps me!
I have a form with a continuous subform. The continuous subform
contains records of data and may reach a depth of 1000's of entities.
I have created a search button on my form and it does its job quite
well. It presents the user with an inputbox, prompting for the string
to search. Then the code returns with a record number of the record
which contains the string.
Here's the problem. I...

An Access 2000 question
Hi
is is possible to have (as a subform) a continous form with 0..n
buttons which have different images in each row.
(Personally I would have preferred a button array and assign images in
code, much easier with a class module - but unfortunately Access does
not support control arrays).

Is it possible to display different images on continuous forms. The path to
the picture is held in a table, and the photos are held in another folder. I
am trying to avoid using OLE Object due to file size problems and problems
of making sure the database is up-to-date.
Thanks
Phil

I am using a continuous form for display purposes.
Above this form, a single record is displayed so that when the user
presses my NewButton they can enter a NewRecord which gets added to
the continuous form that displays below.
Under the NewButton I have these lines of code:
Me.AllowAdditions = True
DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec

I have a continuous form showing Product Code and Product Name. Product Code
is five digits and is sequential. I have a textbox in the form header. What
is the code to scroll the continuous form so that as I type in the the first
two or three numbers of the product code in the textbox, the first product
code record appears at the top of the form. I would like the continuous form
to act like a combox with auto expand.
Thanks!

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
