I am trying to upload a new version of a file that already exists on my web
site. It asks me to overwrite and I choose yes. But when I go to the web
page, even a half hour after the upload, the orginal content of the page is
still there. I have tried uplaoding several times in IE and FTP voyager.
There are no errors reported during the upload. FTP voyer is using binary
upload for sure.
Also, I deleted the file I am trying to update on...

I'm trying to figure out how to verify that the file trying to be uploaded
exists. On my page if I type in the name of a file that doesn't exist it
get's uploaded as a file with 0 bytes.
When using Yahoo mail when I type in a non-existent file and try to upload
it will come back and tell me "Invalid File" but I can't figure out how they
are doing it.
Help would be appreciated!

Anyone know of any problems with this???
Using it to upload image files to a server. Most of the files work fine but
occasionally one causes error with fopen() on server. Seems the
'filename/path' param is incorrect. It is actually trying to open the file
using the directory path I uploaded 'from' and not 'to'.
(Note: Using PHP on Novell server to open the file.)
Thanks,

Hi,
I am hoping somebody can help me.
Normally to use the file upload feature in an html page, users must
either select or type in a file to upload then click on button or link
to initiate the upload. I was wondering if it were possible to put a
default file name in?
Thanks

Here's the problem: I've got an ASP.NET (C#) web page that has a single
<input type=file> control on it for uploading a file. The way the code
works is that the uploaded file is then parsed for the path and file name.
I then save the posted file to a temporary directory on the web server (for
later processing). I then open up a file stream and stream reader and read
a related file into a string that is in the posted file's same directory...

Hi, I am having a problem with an attachment system I made... it works with
files up to ~3MB in size then after that if you try to upload a file it just
goes to a "Page can not be displayed" page like it tried to do it but
errored... I thought changeing the max size for the file input box to about
100mb would fix it but nope
here is my page code and my code behind code...

Hi everyone, new user here. I've been finding it harder and harder to get answers at EE for certain questions, and am hoping someone here will be able to help me!
Using asp.net and c#, my site allows users to save the innerhtml of a certain div to a file. Now I need the reverse.
Here's what I need: upon clicking a button, the user gets a "open file" dialog, which let him choose a file on his pc. Upon choosing it, the site reads the content...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
