how to insert another stage and make 3 stage in a flash?

Hi there;

I am amking a walking man that will animate and its hand will move just like walking.

I am reading a tutorial but it said that I should make a stage. the first is I will mae and craete a man. then the second one is I will erase the hands.

How can I insert another stage so that I can make 3 stage and can draw three man in my flash??

I think it meant insert a new frame. If you want to make a walking man which animates, you should first know how animation works. Like the oldschool stuff, it is a collection of changing graphics like how disney cartoons were created.

Now draw your Man on a Frame, after that.. right-click on the next frame and click Insert New keyframe. This will create a new key frame that contains the stuffs as the previous. This is where you will erase the hands and change it to what you want and so forth..

Now if you want to create 3 walking man, you should create them as movieclips.
