Yes I want a flash application to send commands into another application
Flash and something called Clicker which if you do not know about it is a very successful literacy support program here in the UK.

Clicker can be made to scan opening up its use for students with a physical disability, they can hit a simple switch, sending an F keyboard input into the software. Older versions of the software would talk with other applications so it was possible to use Clicker as an interface for other software that was not switch accessible. Unfortunately the latest version of Clicker does not support this feature and I am looking for alternative ways to do as we did before. Flash is used alot to author educational resorces and I know it can be made to pass info to and from software on a server.

Do you know if there are built in caperbilities within action script or is it possible to place other languages in the script that could be made to communicate with other applications?

I am sorry, I am unfamiliar with Clicker. Could you please give me a use-case scenario, of how it used to work, and then explain what does not work now? Then tell me how you would like to fit Flash into the system (with a use-case scenario as well).
Sorry I haven't been more helpful; if you try and explain the preceding things to me I will do what I can to point you in the right direction.

Hi all, I have been searching for a keyboard and mouse tracker on linux. I've read solutions (watch at sourceforge) which look at /proc/interrupts to check keyboard or mouse activity. I also read one post where "watch" seems to have difficulty tracking usb keyboards and mice. So, I'm out of ideas here. My goal are: 1. Check keyboard activity. I'm not interested in logging which keys are pressed or record them.

Hi, I've been looking at autohotkey to do some different usability hacks for windows http://www.autohotkey.com/ one of the benefits of this language is it allows one to catch keyboard usage, joystick usage, and mouse usage inputs very easily at a global level or at application levels by watching applications for events within the applications. I was wondering if there were any python libraries that provided

Hi, I have a simple web page which is composed of a flash audio player (jwmp3player) and a form with a textarea box. I have noticed some very odd behaviour which I cannot puzzle out. If I click on the flash mp3 player to play an audio file, then try to click on the textarea and type in some text, I am unable to enter anything. I can move the cursor around the textarea but the keyboard focus will not change, as it appears to be stuck...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
