Flash AS 2.0 Frames

4 New Member
I don't know the way to say "every 5 frames" in Action Script. Help?
I want to add 1 to a stated variable every five frames without the loop affecting anything, and I don't want to put action script on every 5th frame.

Hi, I need to be able to read flash files inside a java application. Actually what I need to do is take any format (AVI, MPEG, FLASH etc) and convert it to either AVI or MPEG2. The conversion part is fine, I am using JMF to play the frames and then I simply add the relevant codec output stream to the JMF and I can get AVI or MPEG2 output. The problem is that JMF only supports FLASH 2.0 as far as I can tell from

I have a custom API that gets the number of frames in a Flash movie. I use the Flash.TotalFrames() method. But, in IE it has to be called like this: TotalFrames = getPlugin(ElementID).TotalFrames; in Firefox it has to be called like this: TotalFrames = getPlugin(ElementID).TotalFrames();

please keep the flaming to a minimum (a bucket of water is next to me) but I have a question someone here might be able to explain in basic terms for a dunce like me. I helped a friend put together a website that uses his domain name and url directs to my server. It has a (sorry) flash intro page that continues to his main page. When I click on a navigation button, the address reverts back to my webpage address. Without using shitty frames...

Hi Folks, I've been spending a lot of time looking for a way to connect my HTML pages to their embedded flash files. Ideally, I would like a way to issue "gotoandX" commands via javascript enabled buttons. I've looked into named anchors, but I don't like the idea that the user's back button is then constrained to a history of accessed anchors -- in other words, I want the operation to be totally transparent to the user.

Converting PowerPoint to Flash would absolutely be a good choice to distribute your bulky PowerPoint presentations. You can do the whole PowerPoint to Flash conversion manually or with professional applications. First, you'll need to prepare the PowerPoint files. Make sure you are not using any complicated gradients or animations. These will be interpreted poorly when they are brought into Flash. Also, make sure there are no objects that...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
