14 New Member
Hi

I want to move onto designing elements of my websites with flash.

If I want to create simple animation sites like :

http://www.kitchen-consultants.co. uk/

(please ignore the rubbish little load bit and go into 'contracts'.)

Will Flash Basic 8 allow me to create to this level or is it really really basic. I have no in tention of using video or similar just gallery type action basic script to swap imgaes etc ?

All pictures etc would be edited and so on in Fireworks 8.

Many Thanks

If you dont have any flash experience, i suggest that you run through a few tutorials on basic motion and shape tweening. W3Schools.com is always a good place to start for beginners. Check this link out for some basic drawing and actionscripting tutorials. You'll find the nessesary skills there. Good Luck!
Flash 8 will work, do not fret.

For me coding is about sharing neat visuals with others. I enjoyed doing this as a kid in BBC BASIC and little bit of 4Mhz blisteringly fast assembler back in the early 80s. Then seeing those incredible Amiga demos by the various crewes, circa 1985, knocked me flat, and I abruptly dropped my coding weapons (Amgia Basic) - they were just too awesome and obviously effective collaborations by the various 'crews'. But those Amiga days...

Hi, Can someone tell me how to get a flash file to play in Visual Basic .net? (VS2005) Tried adding a com component to the toolbox (as it worked in VS2003), but this produces an error in 2005 (seems to be a know bug with VS2005) All I want to do is PLAY flash files - and maybe control them (ie. play, pause, send vars to/from)

I was thinking about where to go for lunch the other day, so I went to hardees.com to see what the menu looked like these days. What comes up is a big note that my flash version is not new enough so I can't use the site. What complete losers! When are businesses going to understand that the purpose of a web site is to communicate with customers or business parterns and NOT so your "web master or "web engineer" can show off what they...

I have a product that contains several components. I want the user to come to my site and "build a product" out of the available components. I envision something like this: - user sees a basic product on the page - clicks on a component to view options for that component - can change components, mix and match by clicking on each component and selecting from the options available to arrive at a final product they want. - ideally, then...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
