Hello all,
I did a bit of searching and couldn't find an answer. What I want to
do is programmatically detect if the virus software is enabled or
disabled, just like how the Windows Security Center is able to detect
it.
I'm guessing it's a registry entry, but i'm curious if it's vendor
specific. If so, is there a general area in the registry I can scan
and at least search for popular vendor names?

Developing web site like I've been doing it so many times before and
all of the sudden - literaly - symantec jumps in start complaing about
viruses found in temporary dll's created in temp .NET precompiled
folder. Can't compile project any more as symantec keep complaining
and sending dll's to its quarantine. Mostly if not only
resource/language dll's are affected.
Obviously, as I disable symantec real-time protection, everything goes...

hi... the last time a run my anti virus on my pc it detected 21 virus. a trojan type, worm and a brontok... the problem is evry time i try to delete all the virus that has been detected my pc shutdwn.... evn if i try to quarantine it my pc also shutdwn by it self....... pls help me i need it...
