hello,
we are using:
- DB2 UDB V 8.1 FP-6 on LINUX as (local) federated DB
- DB2 UDB V 7.2 on AIX as datasource
we try to move part of an application (most of the tables) von AIX to
LINUX and acess a few remaining tables (on AIX) via the "federated DB"
feature.

I have a server W2k running DB2 8.1.6. We have two databases one DBDC
that holds our user base and QUALITY with all our application data. I
have about 8 tables federated on QUALITY looking at the table on DBDC.
The traffic should be minimal the call to the remote tables is just for
user log in. It appears that the db2syscs.exe process grows...

All,
I'm having a difficult time trying to implement two-phase commits
across federated database members in UDB 8.3. I've tried using MQ (v
6.0) as the transaction manager and UDB tells me that having a 64bit
transaction manager and a 32bit database is not valid. I updated my
testing database to 64 bit but my 32 bit COBOL applications no...

both on AIX 5, both instances V9.1 (FP02).
For the sake of this post, the two DB2 databases are named:
1. "live"
2. "archive"
When I create the user mapping on the "live" database:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
