Federated Table Errors

I have a server W2k running DB2 8.1.6. We have two databases one DBDC
that holds our user base and QUALITY with all our application data. I
have about 8 tables federated on QUALITY looking at the table on DBDC.
The traffic should be minimal the call to the remote tables is just for
user log in. It appears that the db2syscs.exe process grows quite a
bit 1,518,538 K. There is some issue with the connection to the
federated tables. below is the information from the diaglog. If
anyone sees anything that tells them what is going on I would
appreciate any guesses or help.

Hi, I have a table in SQL Server with no keys, I point this as a federated table in DB2 but in DB2 I have defined keys against this federated table in SQL. Where will the key constraints be followed in DB2 or in SQL? How should a select statement in DB2 for this federated table behave if there are duplicates in SQL? The result I am getting is it is showing an actual duplicate in DB2 for this federated table. Is there any setting in DB2...

Hi, I have 2 servers each running AIX and both have a DB2 database setup on them. I'm building a news management application and in our setup we need to have a staging and production setup. So the staging database gets the changes performed and then once we're satisfied with how it looks, we push the changes through SQL queries which perform the (deletions, updating, and inserting of articles) onto the production database by comparing it to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
