Replication with Federated DB2UDB Tables

FM
Hello there:

We want to replicate onto the same server (Capture / Apply) tables
into federated DB2 - Tables but we are not able to do it...
I've tried it with Replication Center but don't see the way to do it.

Could someone give me a hint or tip to do it?

Thank ypou very much in advance.

I have done that in the past through Replication Center and it was a
straight-forward process. Where exactly do you get stuck?

Hello Knut:

I have federated tables (wrapper/server/user mapping/nickname).
First I've cataloged remote database (also DB2 UDB on AIX) on my
capture/apply server.
I've registered capture/apply server but when i want to register the
source-table (nickname) it doesn't appear.
Perhaps you could send me a brief resume of what you have done to
compare what i'm doing wrong?

Thank you very much Knut

Hello again:

I've tried once more:
Source-Table T1 at DB_1
Capture/Apply at DB_2
Table T1 federated at DB_2
But no chance to register it with Replication Center....

I have the following scenario: Box 1 is running Informix 7.31.UD4 on hpux 11i (Source DB) Box 2 is running IBM DB2 UDB 8.2 on hpux 11i (Apply and Target DB) After creating a new DB2 instance and setting up replication from informix using federated configuration the replication works for a while.

Hi, I have a table in SQL Server with no keys, I point this as a federated table in DB2 but in DB2 I have defined keys against this federated table in SQL. Where will the key constraints be followed in DB2 or in SQL? How should a select statement in DB2 for this federated table behave if there are duplicates in SQL? The result I am getting is it is showing an actual duplicate in DB2 for this federated table. Is there any setting in DB2...

One of the way would be Federated Database. I've seen some red books on setting up...

Hello All, I'm new to DB2, so apologies in advance for any stupid comments I might make on this replication problem. Using Information integrator and DB2 8.2 I managed to create a nickname that references a table sitting on an Oracle 10g Database on a different server. I can reference the nickname and retrieve all the information on that table from my DB2 instance. The plan now is to have a replica of that table on my DB2 instance. I

Hi, Our SQL Replication is between DB2 databases on Windows servers. I'm searching for the document which tells me how to migrate our SQL Replication environment from V8 to V9 (we also need to migrate from V7 to V8 but that's fully described so that's no problem). The PDF 'Migrating to Replication Version 9' doesn't contain a description about migrating SQL Replication, only Q replication. I found some links to PDF manuals which should...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
