I have a site on a set of Linux Servers where my site is PHP enabled and I
would like to prevent people from externally linking to content on my site
and replace it with a warning image.
I've researched the following to put in an .htaccess file on teh root of my
server, but none of the methods or changes or suggestions I've found on the

I believe it is universally accepted that decorating your
website with images from someone else's, without permission,
is rude and unethical, even if the images are in the public
domain, because to do so is to steal bandwidth.
But I have run across a situation where people are linking
to other types of resources that I offer on my website

I keep digging through tut after tut and I find lots and lots of C++
logic, but I can't find any straight forward plain and simple info on
the whole linking and library process.
Can anyone recommend a good source to digest that covers what is going
on in this regard? I can get things to work with the 'monkey see'
technique but it is still all voodoo.

I have to determine the document.referrer of the individual coming to my
site. I want to send everyone not coming from one of those sites to an
alternate location (The names below are just used as examples).

Hello everybody,
I have some code that disables form elements on body load, but I notice
when I hit the "back" button, I need to re-enable the form elements
(that is done by clicking on a radial button). Is there any way I can
keep the form for disabling every time a user hits the back button and
"remember" what elements should be enabled? I was thinking maybe
utilizing some referrer thing, but I'm not that good with JS yet.

Linking to a Targeted Browser Window
I'd like to open reference links to other web sites in a
separate browser window from the browser window hosting my
own web site pages. The Link Target reserve word "_blank"
opens a blank new browser window for every link, which can
sometimes result in a lot of open browser windows.
Is there no way to "reuse" a previously linked browser
window and have it load the new web page in Foreground

I want to determine referrer website when someone comes to my page. Since
the link URL has to be static between sites (i.e. I can't use something like
mysite.com?refid=14 to determine who linked to me) I'm guessing I need to
read the referrer.
My only concern is if the link to my site is from another website will I
always get the referrer or are there browsers that won't give that
information? I don't need referrer if someone types it...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
