How to Create WAR / Deploy Cold fusion app on Tomcat server

1 New Member
Hi,

I am a Java developer and know nothing about ColdFusion.
I need help from you all CF experts.

here is the situation:

I created a workspace in Eclipse 3 by getting the code from repository (CVS).

Now I want to deploy this application on Tomcat server. (Anything other Open Source server would be fine too)

I have installed ColdFusion 6.1 developer version as our app in production is running on 6.1.

I could run the admin console and CFIDE and cfusion when I dropped the WARs (rds and CFIDE).

I have also created the SQL Server datasource successfully.

I want to deploy my application on the server in order to run it locally. But I don't know how to create a WAR file (Unlike any other Java based web application I could not find the option to Export it as WAR as there is no Web module detected) . Do I need to use some tools like ANT? If yes what tool should I use? Is there any help available on the internet where I can refer to?

Is there a program, script or other tool for converting cold fusion into PHP? After googling for quite some time and not finding a solution, I am beginning to think that there is no magic bullet. We have site that was developed for our company in cold fusion (at great cost by an "independent" developer). The administration refuses to...

I realize this is a Microsoft group, but what are the advantages/disadvantages of cold fusion? People are telling me the coding required in .cfm is much less than .asp? Is this true? Which one is better? Any input is appreciated. Thanks Cory

I have 3,000 reports (dynamically generated and include graphs) that were created from a Cold Fusion Server behind our firewall. I now need to publish the results (static information) from these reports outside of our firewall on an IIS 4.0 server. This outside server is only setup with the asp.dll and will not have any Cold Fusion...

Whenever I query my database using Enterprise Manager, the response time is about a second. When I access the same data via a Cold Fusion webpage, it takes about 15 seconds (or more) to resolve. I created an index for the fields involved in the query and updated statistics. It makes no difference. Is there anything else I should look at? ...

I'm a Microsoft Access and ASP.NET developer. Currently I'm working at a company that uses Cold Fusion and we can't find any developers. I suggested that we use ASP.NET and Visual Studios. The Cold Fusion developers tell me that it takes longer to develope applications using ASP.NET. We are losing money because we can't get the applications...

Hi all, I have a SQL server table which holds passwords encrypted using the Cold Fusion Descrypt() function. Theoretically, I should be able to use the crypto services in .NET to decrypt these based on the Xor algorithm. But, it seems as though Cold Fusion adds in some extra characters to make life difficult. Has anyone ever run into...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
