Is there a program, script or other tool for converting cold fusion into
PHP?
After googling for quite some time and not finding a solution, I am
beginning to think that there is no magic bullet.
We have site that was developed for our company in cold fusion (at great
cost by an "independent" developer). The administration refuses to pour
more money down the rat hole.

I realize this is a Microsoft group, but what are the
advantages/disadvantages of cold fusion? People are telling me the coding
required in .cfm is much less than .asp? Is this true? Which one is
better?

I have 3,000 reports (dynamically generated and include graphs) that
were created from a Cold Fusion Server behind our firewall. I now
need to publish the results (static information) from these reports
outside of our firewall on an IIS 4.0 server. This outside server is
only setup with the asp.dll and will not have any Cold Fusion
components installed on it. Does anyone know how I can publish the

Whenever I query my database using Enterprise Manager, the response
time is about a second. When I access the same data via a Cold Fusion
webpage, it takes about 15 seconds (or more) to resolve. I created an
index for the fields involved in the query and updated statistics. It
makes no difference. Is there anything else I should look at? The
table is only about 3000 records. Any suggestions to speed up queries
when using Cold Fusion?...

My boss is considering the purchase of a calendar/scheduler program for our
school district, and part of the setup calls for the installation of
Macromedia's Cold Fusion software. My bosses condition for the purchase of
this software is that the company we are purchasing from support the entire
application, and that our understaffed I.T. department not have to.

developers. I suggested that we use ASP.NET and Visual Studios.
The Cold Fusion developers tell me that it takes longer to develope
applications using ASP.NET. We are losing money because we can't get
