ColdFusion MX 7 Web Application Construction Kit by Ben Forta et al. There is an advanced version too,
Also, ColdFusion MX Developers Cookbook by Pete Freitag et al. This is more for the experienced developer but good for the beginner too as long as you know how to program.
Programming ColdFusion MX, Second Edition Creating Dynamic Web Applications by Rob Brooks-Bilson. This a good book but only version 6.1. If you want one that covers the latest version, go for the first one.

Also you can use the web resources, tutorials, etc. once you have a basic understanding of Coldfusion to help you in your programming,
e.g.CFLib - an open source collection of user defined functions in ColdFusion
Open source CF
Coldfusion Cookbook

is python more popular than coldfusion? I realsie that is a very general question as one thing does not directly relate to the other. My issue is that I am ditching coldfusion due to there being next to no work for it, and I am thinking of taking on python as a second language to java in the hope of improving my resume.

Hello, I'm trying to find out more information about ColdFusion and could not find what I'm looking for on Macromedia's website. My question has more to do with what ColdFusion is and how web services are supported. Specifically, I'd like to know: Is Coldfusion nothing more than an IIS extension like ASP.NET? Can Coldfusion and ASP.NET coexist on the same webserver?

All, I'm coming from java and coldfusion, where one can set a "global" variable in one place (the servletcontext in java, Application.cfm in coldfusion) and all files in that site can then take advantage of these variables without the need to "include" a variables page in every page on the site. Is there something comparable in php, like an Application.php or some such thing? One more question that's basically an extension of the first....

But if i ty to access it from a remote machine by specifying the IP address in the url, it displays an error: The web site you are accessing has experienced an unexpected error. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
