basic help

P: n/a
I would like to develop a project in C++ but my programming skills stopped
some years ago wityh Turbo Pascal. I have a number of compilers: VC++6, and
MinGW although I'm not sure I have the correct files. I was working with
someone who was using MinGW and compiled his source. He has now left the
picture and I'm lost. Does anyone know of a good basic site that can walk me
through the compilation of a c++ project with MinGW? I'm starting to get
desperate.

For compiling and general info about the compiler:
http://www.mingw.org/docs.shtml

For the code I suggest you buy a book, I am in almost the same dilemma
right now. I personally found the Deitel & Deitel book very useful when
I was learning C++ from scratch.

Good luck!
