I understand that ASP.net 2.0 (Whidbey) is going to reduce coding by
70%.
Surely this is going to de-skill or dumb down the developer's task and
open up the task of web development to less qualified and trained
staff.

Hi all,
I've spent the past several months developing my ASP.NET 2.0 web site using
Beta 2, and its working great.
Even though 2.0 beta 2 has a Go Live license, I have not deployed to
production yet. It is a brand new web site so I want to wait and just
deploy with the final release of 2.0 now that it is coming in just a couple
weeks.

I'm using Visual Studio 2005 RC and cannot figure out how to produce a
"release" build. Am I doing something wrong?
I'm wondering if perhaps MS locked out the ability to produce a release
build when using the RC since it does not have a go-live license? Or maybe

I think I need a "best practices" lesson on web sites and web services.
In order to conform to the restraints of my web host, my web services
seem to need to be in a subfolder of my web site. So if I have a
wwwroot folder containing my site, which maps to www.MySite.com, then
to reference my web service, MyService, I place it in a folder that
maps to wwwroot/MyService/MyService.asmx. This is dandy. I reference

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
