You will need to load the control with the folder and file names.

Hi, I have a few different templates that I want to list so my clients can see different styles that are available. So I want to offer them a drop down menu listing all the styles. But to make my life easier I usually put all the templates in one folder and the name of the sub-folder is the name of the template. Instead of updating a file every time would there be a way of listing all the files in one directory, (../template), and all...

Hi All, Currently I have a storage server to allow users to store their files in a central location. In this server, there are many sub-folders for different departments. What I would like to do is to have a script to generate a listing that will show in each folder who are the users accessible to the folder and what are the permission granted to them.

Hi - I'm hoping for help with the auto-generation of a hyperlinked listing of all files in a directory. The server I use does not auto-generate this. So, when someone comes to this directory and thus opens index.htm, I want that file to show a listing of all files in the directory with hyperlinks to them. Thanks for the help, Doug

Amazing, I surfed around to find a simple utility that could list files recursively from a given top folder down through it, writing out the path and filename in simple \path\file_name form, without writing out empty folder names, if any. Well I found a couple utilities but they all tried to do all this other stuff, do it in Excel with no copy and paste, etc. Not a one that just writes a simple text file with the path and file name. So I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
