Either, chat1.rc could not be located by the rc compiler

At line 4 of chat1.rc a file is referenced and that file can not be located by the rc compiler

The clue is in the error message "file not found", it can not find a file it needs.

Hi, I just installed the VS.Studio 2005 Team Edition for Developper and encountered severe problems with debugging ASP.NET 2.0 projects. Even newly empty created ASP 2.0 projects can't debug (setting breakpoint in page_load()). I'm getting the following message: "Unable to start debugging on the web server. An error occurred that usually indicates a corrupt installation (code 0x80004002). If the problem persists,

Hi all, I implemented a basic client application. It communicates with server and works properly. I am having trouble compiling an ATL library. I get the above error, BUT the typelib file named in the error IS there. I have also checked the following (in the Properties Dialog Page: 1). Under the 'Resources' option - the resource file name is correctly specified, using macros (the error is generated when compiling a generated .rc file) 2). The Resources->'Additional Include Directories' is left blank, since

1. Why does Visual Studio 2008 started ignoring //{NO_DEPENDENCIES} in resource.h? If I edit file "resource.h" _manually_, it rebuilds the whole solution. It worked just fine with Visual Studio 2005. 2. Why does Visual Studio 2008 not allow having two resource files (that use the same "resoure.h") open at the same time, when they are in different projects of the same solution (localization resource-only dll projects?) It worked just fine...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
