S-Tree: self organizing trees for data clustering

Hi everybody,

I don't know how to initialize the weight vector of each node in the tree.
The input is a set of N data in M dimensions.
I have to realize a software based on the article "S-TREE: self organizing
trees for data clustering and online vector quantization", Marcos M.Campos,
Gail A.Carpenter,200 0.

Thanks

Hi all, I'm trying to submit some data using a POST request to a HTTP server with BASIC authentication with python, but I can't get it to work. Since it's driving me completely nuts, so here's my cry for help. The server is an elog logbook server (http://midas.psi.ch/elog/). It is protected with a password and an empty username. I can login both using urllib and urllib2 (suppose the password is "foobar", the logbook is running on port...

Hello, It might be a silly question, but I'benn stuck on it for many hours: can anyone tell me what it means when LibXML outputs «self contains no data» as an error message? It is thrown when I call a method on an object. The object seems to exist (otherwise, the method would die). Thanks for your help.

Hi, at NC State University, my students and I are working on a project called "self-organizing databases," please see description below. I would like to use an open-source database system for implementation and would really appreciate your opinion on whether PostgreSQL is suitable for the project. In general, I am very impressed by the quality of PostgreSQL code and documentation, as well as by the support of the developer community. ...

Hi. I'm reworking a little app I wrote, in order to separate the data from the UI. As a start, I wanted to create a iron-clad data recepticle that will hold all the important values, and stand up to being queried by various sources, perhaps concurrently. In all likelihood, the app will never need anything that robust, but I want to learn to write it anyway, as an exercise. So here is my code. It's really simple, and I'm sure you can see my...

Hello all, My bulk data is sitting on a big table. I cluster its rows using views and SQL-UDFs. So far it was ok, but its performance will become an issue soon. Therefore I am looking for alternatives. Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

All, Just a quick question. I want to be able to have a data structure that organizes data (timestamps I'm working with) sequentially, so that i can easily retrieve the first x amount of timeStamps without iterating over a list. My thought was to use a binary tree, am i overthinking the problem to try and implement this structure inside of python? I was also hoping this would already be done for me. Regards,

I think this question has been asked number of times. However, I am looking for some specific information. Perhaps some of you can help close the gap. Or perhaps you can point me towards right direction. Perhaps this group can help me fill in ms-sqlserver related following questions. 1. Do this database have data Clustering capabilities? 1a. If yes, what mechanism is used such as shared disk, share nothing, etc.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
