I installed .NET 2005 express edition, and am about to unnistall it again
because it can't seem to be able to even insert a resource file into a
project. Can anyone tell me is this right? Should it be able to?
I know it's express edition, and therefore limited functionality, but surely
resources are quite fundamental?
Also, once it's downloaded, is there any way of getting access to the fully
downloaded file incase you want to...

I'm testing out the Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition, and I like it
thus far... but i'm puzzled.
I want to add a "Setup Project" to my solution. When i go to Add
Project, I don't see the "Setup Project" listed as a template.
The templates available are:

I am wanting to create an installer project in Microsoft Visual C#
2005 Express Edition, but I can't see how to do it. I see in online
help that you should go to File...Add...New Project... and choose
Setup/Installer Project. But, this is not an option in my Project
Types list. Is this some limitation of the Express Edition, you can't
create installer packages? Is there something I need to configure or
install, to get this option? Please...

For a pure hobbyist C/C++ programmer, who wants to develop
applications to run on Windows, what would be a better choice to
install: Visual C++ Express 2005 Edition or lcc-win32? Does anyone
have any opinion to share?
Also, is there a C++ compiler akin to lcc-win32?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
