Does Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition include MFC and ATL?
No, MFC and ATL are not included with Visual C++ 2005 Express. MFC and ATL
will be included in all other Visual Studio 2005 Editions.

I follow a hyperlink but can't figure out how to get back to where I came from. It is like a broswer but the back buttons don't work. The only think I know to do is kill C# and start over... So where is the history,...

It just occured to me, that there seems to be no way to develop a web service to be consumed in VWD and use it in VC#, since the web service is run on a random port etc. Is this deliberate? An oversight? Any way around it? I develop on XP Home (sorry, laptop came with...

Just found out that there is an Express Products edition for VS 2005, and it is free for downloading from Microsoft web site. Is this just an evaluation version? Or a real VS.net 2005 for small projects? If we just want to develop ASP.net web pages using VB.net, will these Express Products good enough for our needs? Any limitations? ...

Howdy, This problem have puzzled me for a long time. I usually use python2.5 in Windows, while VC2005 is installed. However python25.lib is compiled by VC2003. When I use disutil to build some C extensions, it complaints that there is no VC2003. Well, IMO, the format of binary files generated by VC2003 and VC2005 is compatible in most...

甜瓜 schrieb: It's possible but ill-advised. The free mingw32 compiler can build Python extensions just fine. I'm using it all the time to build Python 2.5 extensions for Windows. In the future Python 2.6 and 3.0 are build with my VS 2008 system and extensions can be build with the free express version, too. Christian

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
