streaming proxy

hi
i've to develop a streaming proxy for rtsp and i've some questions :
- how can i know from rtsp requests and responses if the stream is
direct (live) or differred?
- how can implement authentication mechanisms? i know there header for
this but i don't know how (the clients connecting to the proxy must
give a username/password)
- how can i integrate mms and pna? is there any specification of these
protocols?
thx

I am playing with the XMLHTTPRequest method to perform client/server transactions. I have it set up right now so that when readyState is 4, it takes the XML and processes it. This works great until there is alot of data. In that case, the user will have to wait for the data to come back which may take a minute or so. I don't want the user to have to wait. Is it possible for javascript to periodically (while still receiving more data)...

Hello all, I'm capturing the screen to a file (C:\output.wmv) as video source but now I have a big problem: How can I get the output sent to a remote host instead of a file? And, by the way, how can I handle it on the client side? Any help on this would be great, since there is no much info on the net about this matter.

Hi guys I am currently involved in a project which requires me to recieve and play streaming video as well as send it. In Visual C++ is there any free library which helps me do this as 'streaming' is not part of the actual project, i am allowed to use external libraries. Also could anyone tell me where I can learn about video streaming in c++ so I can code the streaming part myself too thx

Hi, I'm looking for a .Net/COM component which would allow a .Net programmer with no streaming experience to be able to save online streams to local resources (files or to DB). I know that if I read this post I would surely think - pick up a manual and start reading, however we have no time for this since this is one of several demands a customer added on the last minute of a projecct.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
