Hello,
I have some Macbinary files on a PC. I want to recursively read these
files and remove the first 128 bytes of the files if they contain the
macbinary header info. I know how to read directories recursively, but
how would I read the first 128 bytes of each file in the path?

Hi all,
I'm trying to read from the txt file 'ip.packets.2.txt' using the read
function. It seems everything ok, but I get a -1 when executing
>>bytesr = read(fdo1, bufread, 2);
The 'open' function returns the file dsc 3. So this seems ok..
Any idea what might be wrong?

Hi,
I wonder if there is a way to read only the first x bytes of a xml
responsetext. In my project I need only first 20-30 bytes of very large
HTML files and i don't want to wait for the rest to be read. Here is a
piece of code i use ;

When I do this I get the first 634 bytes. I tried using the:
f = open('myfile,'rb')
option, but now there are a few 0x0D bytes extra in myfile. 0x0D =
Carriage return. How can I make a program that not puts in the 0x0D
bytes in windows.
In linux the first 2 lines are working perfectly.

I'm running FreeBSD 6.1 RELEASE #2. The program is writting in C++.
The idea of the program is to open one file as input, read bytes from
it, do some bitwise operations on the bytes, and then write them to
this second file. However, when the second file is 15360 bytes long,
the program dies with a "Segmentation Fault (core dumped)" error!...
