I wanted to make a Java application which would dial a telephone
number using the modem. When the person on the other end lifts up the
telephone (answers the phone), the application should start playing an
audio file(eg. .wav file).
The approach I took was using the Java Communications
API(javax.comm.). As my modem is connected to the serial port on my
computer I send AT commands to make the phone call (ATDT2222222). This

I don't know anything about Javascript, but a little about standard HTML.
I have created a website and have set the homepage to automatically play a
sound file on opening.
What I would like is for a random sound file (from my "audio" directory) to
be played instead of the same one each time you visit.
Can this be done and if so can someone please supply me with the (or an
example) of code?.........

I have searched the web for example... and download the example and when
run, it works perfectly.
But when i try to insert a sound file (.wav) to my project and set the Build
Action to "Embedded Resources". And then I use the same code as what I saw

I try to use the code like the following. But whenI call the play function

my computer give out "be" sound instead playing the file
(same code works fine in a windows application written in c# , that mean

I know that an internal sound card has to be one listed as for a specific mother board. However, does this rule apply to external sound cards? I use a satellite A75-s2112 toshiba laptop, intel pent 4, windows xp, and forget where to find the motherboard info. I just remember that it only had Realtek AC'97 sound drivers that work with it, when I did that research.

hello there
I'm definitely a newb so please bare some patience. I have a flash sound file on the index page of a site i'm working on. First off i need the .swf file to continuously loop, secondly i need this same file to play on every page visited on the site. I've researched and tried to just follow examples but each time there's no loop. The file plays once every time the page loads and then ends.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
