Parent-Child DataGridViews and how to tell when the parent recordchanges

I have an application that works well, with two DataGridViews connected with
the necessary BindingSources, DataTables etc to have one DataGridView act as
the parent and the other as the child in the standard way.

Whenever the parent record changes, the data displayed in the child
DataGridView changes appropriately. However the first record in the child
DataGridView is always highlighted as the 'current record' and I would like
to have the last record so highlighted (there are other text boxes that hang
off the child DataGridView/BindingSource) so that the 'latest' information
is displayed. (For various reasons, I can't just display the child records
in reverse order - that would be too easy!!!! - Sigh!)

I've tried looking for appropriate events on the DataGridView and the
BindingSources, but I can't find anything that reliably lets me set the
child view to display the last record.

Is there a way to highlight the last row (or even just one of the cells in
the row) in the child display whenever the record in the parent display is
changed?

Thanks

Susan

Newbie question ... please respond to group I'm trying to open/navigate to a url. How can I tell when the page is fully loaded? Testing suggest that window.open returns before the page is completely loaded and displayed. Likewise, window.navigate. The code looks something like this: wHandle = window.open( url, name, flags ); .... // how to tell when url is fully loaded and displayed

Hello, I want to know if it possible to tell when a file is opened. However I don't want it to be the last access time. I want to know how many times a file opened so I can generate statistics of file usage. I will be wanting to watch all files on a server so this will be on quite a large scale. So checking a directory on a loop for accesses won't work.

Hey everyone, I am really rusty on my Java socket programming and am having some confusing problems. I don't need the code debugged(even though it doesn't work). I'm not going to make you dig through all the abstraction layers and such. Anyways here is my issue. The application sends a request for data to the server and the server responds. However, the server then sends a TCP Fin message to close the connection which I can see through...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
