Getting rid of scroll bars on the WebBrowser control.

UJ
How can I get rid of the scroll bars when I use a WebBrowser control? If the
page/object I'm trying to display is to big - tough! I don't want the scroll
bars.

Thanks.

Jeff.

Jeff,

You need to implement IDocHostUIHandl er in order to do this in CLR 1.1.
Use IDocHostUIHandl er::GetHostInfo to pass back
DOCHOSTUIFLAG_S CROLL_NO. Using the 2.0 WebBrowser control, there may
be an easier way, but I am unaware of it. I have a blog post on
WebBrowser resources that you may find helpful:

I would like to ad a custom scroll bar control to my app that has a customizable and "flat" look to it (not the normal VB look). Does anyone have any ideas on where to find a good one?

I've got a grid inside a div so that it's got scroll bars around it. What I want to do is have the header row fixed at the top, so that the vertical scroll bars scroll just the data rows of the grid while the horizontal scroll bar scrolls both the data and the header row. The only way I can think of doing it is putting the data portion as a seperate grid in a div and the header in a seperate div. I would force the header div not to have...

I have a TableLayout that I'm having problems with. I am placing controls in it that have scroll bars. When I put enough of them on the control to make the TableLayout's scroll bars appear the scroll bars for the TableLayout cover up my scroll bars for the child controls. When I resize the form it fixes and the child controls are in the appropriate places. This also occurs when the form is maximized and I restore down.

I am dynamically creating a FlowLayoutPanel inside of a Tab Page of a Tab Control... On the form (outside the Tab Control), there is a button that adds a user defined control into the FlowLayoutPanel within the Selected Tab. This is working fine, except that when over five of the user defined controls get added to the FlowLayoutPanel, they are not accessible because the scroll bars do not appear.

We have a database that can be accessed by a small number of users on a small network. The database is on the server. One form has a combo box with a large number of selections. Usually there is a scroll bar on the right hand side when the combo box is selected. One user comments that he doesn't always get the scroll bar. The problem is variable - excuse the pun - sometimes the scroll bar is never there, sometimes it disappears after a...

I am developing an application in Access 2000 (A2K) which has multiple forms and subforms. Until now, all subforms displayed scroll bars properly (according to the subform's property setting). However, a new subform control will not display horizontal scroll bars despite it's form's property setting. I have tried deleting and recreating both the subform control and the subform itself thinking this would address the issue. I also tried...

I was using quirks mode (without a doctype) and set the overflow CSS property to :auto for the body tag like so: <body style="overflow:auto"> And it worked; it got rid of IE's default scroll bars. However, when I tried to add any doctype at all (HTML strict, HTML loose, XHTML transitional, XHTML strict, etc.), it stopped working. Do I have any control over IE's scroll bars when using doctypes?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
