PROBLEMS I Haven't solved:
1. Timing issue between real-time server #1 and my drawing tools.
Will moving the tools
(currently within module) to an ActiveX (exe or DLL) solve the
problem or will the calls to
the ActiveX in the mouse move event still result in a conflict????

The following script if run in Internet Explorer should
display a thumbview of a webpage that you point it to.
To test it, replace test.htm with a valid html file.
The problem I'm having is that I can't get onclick to
fire on the rendered Thumbview object. What's strange
is that onmouseover fires. Can anyone see a way?

Hi,
I wrote a C# ActiveX that should fire an event. When I try the ActiveX in
the test container, events are fired properly but not in my MFC
application...
Does anybody know a solution for this problem?

I have the following problem:
I have a C# application that uses an activeX .
I installed the application and the NET 1.1 Runtimes on a clean pc
When running the application i discover that the activeX events do not fire.
I installed VS NET 2003 on that machine.(in an attempt to start debuggging)
Now the activeX events fire again (application works as expected ).

I have a VB6 program which can receive Keydown events on an ActiveX control.
The ActiveX control can't fire keydown events so I put a picturebox below
the ActiveX control. I write codes in function picturebox_keydown in
response to the keydown events on the ActiveX control. These can work well.
But when I update these codes to vb.net I got a message 'UPGRADE_WARNING:

So, here is a wierd question that we have been discussing for a bit now.
Does an event fire even though nothing is subscribed to listen to the event?
For instance, does the Click event of a button fire even though nothing is
subscribed to listen to the event.
The answer is NO in a traditional Publisher/Subscriber design pattern (at
least I think it is).
I have stated that if nothing is subscribed, then the event never gets

I have created a small activex dll to do a background task on my web server. I
fire it off with a set myjob = server.createobject(myactivex) and it runs.
I do not do a set myjob = nothing and so it seems to keep working even after
the initiating session is closed with session.abandon.
Question... what will be the lifetime of this object and is there a way to tell
if it is dead and needs to be reset... after the session is abandoned I no...

I have an activex control built with VS 2005, C#. I have a "Done"
event that I fire from the control when some processing is done. I
have tested this with a C++ app as the host, and I do get the event.
But when I place the control in an Object tag on an ASPX page, and add
my event handler in VBScript, I do not get the event. Its like the
event was never hooked up on the web page.
Is there anything special I need to do on my control...
