Events not fired from C#-ActiveX in MFC Application

Hi,
I wrote a C# ActiveX that should fire an event. When I try the ActiveX in
the test container, events are fired properly but not in my MFC
application...

Does anybody know a solution for this problem?

Hi all, I have a windows form that uses an imported COM class to talk to a legacy system. The COM object works asynchronously - An event is fired when data has been returned. This works fine, except that Im getting too many events fired! Thus my windows form becomes pretty sluggish and unresponsive, and CPU utilistaion is pretty high.

Hi I use the following syntax to have events inherited from base to child classes which works nicely (virtual and override keyword on events). But I am wondering if it is a "supported" way of using events since I never saw it used anywhere in MSDN documentation/samples?! Or it will just break when I upgrade to .NET Framework 2.x in the coming years namespace MyNamespac public delegate void MyDel() public class MyBase public virtual...

Hi, I want to use the FileSystemWatcher in a Windows Service. I read an article, where the author created the FileSystemWatcher object in a seperate thread and when the event is fired, he started a working thread for processing the file, created a new FileSystemWatcher (as he said for real time processing), and then called the join method for the first thread. I can't really see the sence in this. Aren't the events of the...

As far as I know events are fired by invoking a method. Is it possible that events are fired if a boolean property changes its value? Thanks Ferdinand

Hi everyone, I've got a strange one here. There are two datagrids on my page, one nested within the other. I'll refer to them as the topmost and secondary datagrids. In the topmost datagrid's OnItemDataBound() method we check for the row in which it's appropriate to add the secondary datagrid. Exactly one row in the topmost grid will contain the secondary grid.

I have a class which has an async function which uses begininvoke on a delegate to run a private function in the class. The class has an event which reports back i) a unique identifier for that instance and 2) the progress of the operation on my form class I create a new background thread and I declare two instances of the class. I create an event handler and connect this up to the progress changed event of both classes. The handler...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
