Is there any way to guarantee that the dialog comes up in
a particular state-- for instance showing thumbnails?
a similar question would be how to control the list of
folders that appear on the bar on the left of the dialog

When calling OpenFileDialog,
in one project I get exception out of memory (untrappable), while in
another it
works ok. (I create a new project with just this code and it sometimes does
not work, at all.).
Exception occurs while program is trying to show dialog (it shows it for a
second).
OpenFileDialog dl=new OpenFileDialog();
dl.ShowDialog();

files will be selected in the opened dialog when I call ShowDialog().
Actually I wish to select all files in the directory automatically by code.
Is it doable?
How??

I am having a weird problem and I have can't figure out why it is
happening. I create an OpenFileDialog and set a filename filter. When
the dialog first opens, the filter works correctly, and only the files
I want to see appear in the file list box. When I change the filter to
one of the other filters, all the files in the list disappear. If I
then manually type a filter into the "Filename" textbox, then the files
appear and the filter...

Hi
I'm having a problem trying to get a customised OpenFileDialog() to fulfil my requirements.
The code for this custom-built dialog has been taken from another site (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/dialog/FileDialogExtender.aspx) ) and allows the user to select the
viewing method before opening the dialog to show a file directory.
The following event is assigned to a button on my form which, when prompted, displays the dialog.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
