Hello, everybody. I am having trouble running some of the VS.NET samples, specifically the CarSelector web app, which is very simple. The symptom is that the web controls (drop down listboxes and such) do not render correctly. They're almost invisible, and the others don't work at all, but just show their caption text. can anyone point me to a tutorial on how to create customized instalations?
how to include msde2000 in my instalation, how to put files in temp folder
and delete them afterwards, how to use those ui screens (checkboxes,
radiobuttons), custom actions, and other stuff... maybe even add framework
instalation in my app's setup file...

When I have a project (e.g. App1) and dependent projects, such as generic
components (e.g. Comp1, Comp2), I store them in the following directory
structure:
Apps\App1\App1.sln
Apps\App1\App1.csproj
Apps\App1\Comp1\Comp1.csproj
Apps\App1\Comp2\Comp2.csproj
That's fine - for App1. But what when App2 wants to use one of Comp1 or Comp2?

Problems, problems...
Im trying to create DirectX Projects within C# and to also look at the
latest DirectX C# Samples.
I have just installed MS Visual C# .net Standard Edition on my Windows XP
Pro PC and I then installed the full DirectX 9.0 SDK (Summer 2004) & then the
latest DirectX 9.0 SDK (Feb 2005)
Spent several hours doing all this but there are NO DirectX C# sample

Here are the steps that I used to deploy the project:
-right-clicked on my solution project and selected add new project
-I selected "Web Setup project"
- right-clicked on the "Web Application Folder" and added Project
Output..."Primary Output"
-Then, I built the web setup
Then, to get the project to another server:
-I found my Visual Studio .Net project in the filesystem and copied and
pasted it in the other server.

I purchased Infragistics NetAdvantage 2006 Volume 1 CLR 2.0 and was mildly
shocked to see no sample apps included that showed the code/settings
required to replicate the UI components shown in the screenshot galleries on
their website.

I have created simple windows service which just write message to event
log when it starts and stops. I am able to install it succesfully
using:
installutil <service_file.exe>, where <service_file.exeis the
executable of the service. (Thanks to Rohan).
But I want to install it using VS 2005 Setup project and I am unable to
do that. I have created a Solution in VS 2005 with 2 simple projects.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
