The most obvious way I know of is to check the focus when the help function is called and do a lookup or index of your help based on a tag from the focus object.

for windows forms best way is to use HTML help (chm files) amd linking
them with help provider component. Look up helpprovider on msdn for
documentation.

First of all sorry for the cross-posting but I am not sure wether this belongs under internationalization or just general. Environment: Visual Studio .NET 2003 Problem: Newly added and renamed resource files are not automatically linked to the object they belong by the IDE

How do I create a data input form in Access that is external to the Access database to which it's connected (if that's possible, which I believe it is)? For example, if someone clicks on an Access file icon on a computer desktop, it will open up a data entry form (that was created in Access). That way, the people who enter the data won't have direct access to the database at any point. I've seen that this can be done, but I don't know...

I've got to let end users (really just one person) load billing batch files into a third party app table. They need to specify the billing cycle name, the batch name, and the input file name and then I can use these values to execute a SQL Server stored procedure to load them into the batch table from the input file (the stored procedure uses Dynamic SQL to Bulk Insert the file to a temp table then processes it into the final table.) My...

I have a form in Access97 which facilitates a query against a production Access database. Users will enter some search terms and see a datasheet view of the results in a subform. The prod table is linked (the form is not included in the production mdb file). I need to ensure that an unexperienced user will not accidentally change the prod table. What measures should I take? So far I have done the following: In the subform, set Allow...

I am using vb.net 2005. In my explorer window I have a form called mail.vb linked to it are two other files mail.resx and mail.designer.vb. I created a new folder in the solution explorer called forms and dragged the mail.vb (with view all files off) along with three other forms into that folder. All the forms are fine except for the mail form. The form is blank due to the .designer.vb is no longer "linked" to mail.vb. It no longer...

Hi all, I'm reasonably new to csharp so you have to forgive me asking what may be a stupid question... As I said, I'm new to CSharp but in VB I was able to click anywhere on a DataGridView (so long as it was on a cell or header) and return the value contained in the first column for the selected row and store that as a variable or in a textbox.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
