Dear all,
Can anybody help me to solve the captioned problem?
Case:
I need to read a directory, which contains some sub-directories. Some
of them are English name, some of them are Chinese name.
Then my program will add the collection of the directory names in the
Drop Down List box.
When I run the aspx page in my local host IIS . It works fine. But
When I post it to webhosting server. All of chinese(Traditi onal)
directory names display an unreadable code.
I tried to change the Encode method in I.E browser from UTF to Big5.
But it doesn't work.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem ?

hi , i suppose u have to save ur aspx file in Unicode encoding
then normally, in the aspx file, u have to set Content.encodin g =
'UTF8' or UTF-8 . i forgot

I am trying to pass some information via HTTP header from Tomcat server
to IIS5(win2K server Traditional Chinese version). Unfortunately, all the
Chinese characters are crippled on the ASP page. Can anyone please point me

Also, one odd thing I experienced is that server running English version
of w2K turns out to be fine on decoding Chinese characters...

Hi All
Can anyone explain why the expression "AscW(ChrW(38321))" is equal to -27215
?
(38321 is the Unicode code for one of the Chinese traditional characters)
AscW is supposed to return a Long value, isn't it?
This also happens in VB6

I built a aspx web page which the charset is UTF-8. I need to present the
same Chinese content to both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. However, it
shows error code for UTF-8, Big 5 or GB2312. All Chinese text cannot be
displayed.
I installed dot net framework 1.1 with traditional chinese language pack.
The server OS is english windows 2000.

Is there anyone to have idea how to make the MFC CDialog box display
