"Could not read memory" error

Who knows what it means when a Windows XP Pro SP2 produces a transient error
window from aspnet_state.ex e saying "instructio n at [address] reference to
memory at [different address]. memory could not be read." every time it
shuts down? Do I need to do something special with data execution
prevention? What's wrong?

This happens because the operating system does not
allocate a large enough buffer for the data length sent.

When the data is greater than the buffer size, the OS generates the error message.

This can be a program bug, or be caused by
a corrupted file, library or kernel which executed.

I've seen the error crop up after using Adobe Reader to read a pdf,
but any of anumber of programs could be the cause, besides corrupted files.

Hi, When I run a program I have made, i get this error message sometimes: "Application error:The instruction at '...' referenced memory at '...'. Memory could not be "read"..." Are there any common mistakes that cause this problem? Before i get the message above i get this in the command window: "pow: OVERFLOW error". I suppose these error messages are connected, but how? What causes pow: OVERFLOW error?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
