I have a textbox bound to a dataview, when I update the text in the textbox no changes take place in the underlying dataset. Why is this??
any answers appreciated, as to due to the underlying structure of the datasets, i.e lots of child tables etc, I cannot use bindingcontext

Hi,
This is ram.
I am developing a page(usereg.jsp) with two textboxes one for username and another for email. Since i am using this page in main.jsp using Ajax, I am removing the body part in usereg.jsp.
Now i need to focus the cursor in first textbox of usereg.jsp. Since there is no body tag in this jsp i cannot call onload="document.formname.textboxname.focus()".
But i need the focus in textbox when i call this page in main.jsp.

I'd like to have an AJAX textbox that after the user fills in, will
auto-fill another textbox on the page without having a postback
occur. It doesn't have to do any filtering or any other thing like
that. I'm fairly experienced with ASP.Net, but new to AJAX. Please

I have a C# asp.net ajax-enabled website that uses an update panel to dynamically update some controls on my page - one of the controls that it updates is a date/time drop down list, which is dynamically generated based on the date/time that a user selects from a calendar control on my page.
I've got the whole thing wrapped in an UpdatePanel, and it seems to work great - until you start entering text into one of the TextBox...

Hi,
I'm wondering if anybody using ajax extensions where UpdatePanel tag is used
in addition to existing ajax implementation where UpdatePanel wasn't used yet.
So, there is already a web project where ajax is used, but not with
UpdatePanel. (without extensions) Would I be able to use UpdatePanel tag
along with the current implementation? Or there is a contradiction in older
and newer ajax styles?
It's all .NET 2.0 environment.

I tried the following with Web Dev 2008 with -and- without Ajax Extension
3.5 - using IE 7
I reduced my webform1 to a Scriptmanager and an Updatepanel with 2 textbox
and a button. I type something in textbox1, press the button and a function
runs and completes textbox2.
Then I hyperlink to webform2, come back, and not only textbox2 is blank (one
can thinks it was dynamically updated...) but also textbox1 is empty !
What mistake I'm...

Before AJAX, we were able to focus a cell in a gridview during a
fullpage postback. After putting the gridview inside an UpdatePanel,
we cannot focus a cell in this gridview anymore. Does anybody know if
it is possible to make such focus? Thanks!

hey all,
i'm running the following:
ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock in my OnInit event.
well the javascript function that it runs assigns a value to a webserver
textbox control.
after it's finish running this script it control comes back to the
server-side and when i try to inspect the textbox it is still empty, however
when the page finishes loading the correct value appears in the textbox.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
