Publishing problem

I have a large application that has one page with a GridView on it. The
application works fine on my development machine [VS2005 Pro] but when it is
published to the production machine [Server 2003 web edition] and I bring up
the page with the GridView I get the Generic Error Page.

Problem in app, ......on server?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've built a small app based on the Personal web site template and it works fine on my development machine (within VS2005). When I Publish it to a Windows Server 2003 machine it *almost* works fine. There are two problems, one minor and one major: 1.) After publishing to the server I have to go to the server and manually set the ASP.Net version up to 2.x since it defaults to 1.1.x. . 2.) The SQL2005 database that ends up on the server...

Hi I have a problem publishing a web application. The web application has been developed using VS2005 and uses ASP.Net 2.0. The application works fine from inside VS2005. However when I build the application using MSBuild and copy the precompiled code to the appropriate virtual directory it no longer works in the appropriate manner. It appears as if it can't find some images. In addition and more importantly the site does not...

I recently began drawing dynamic pages using PHP + MYSQL. I’m developing the site on windows XP / Apache 1.3.34 / PHP 5.1.2 as a testing server. My publishing server is on another machine on the same network running Fedora Core 3, Apache 2.0.53 (fedora), PHP 4.3.9. MYSQL Server version is 4.0.27 and it is installed on the Linux machine. I’m using the same mysql for testing and for publishing. The connection to mysql server is successfully...

Hi I am publishing a vb.net app to a remote ftp/web site. This seems to go successfully. Once I try to install the app by using the url http://www.mydomain.com/publish.htm and pressing the Run button, I get the '(407) Proxy Authentication Required error' and application install fails. What is the problem and how can I fix it? I am trying to install the app on an SBS 2003 (windows 2003 Server + ISA 2000) server. Thanks

I've been using the VS2005 Publish utility on one of my projects for about six months. I have a large site with hundreds of files, thousands if you include the code behind files. So I thought I'd use the publish utility and pre-compile my site, but make it updateable. I thought I would be increasing the access time for each page. Here is what I've found. 1. If I publish a pre-compiled, updateable version of the site, it takes 50...

I have not tried this before. I have been building an ASP.Net 2.0 app for some weeks now and up till now I have not had any problems publishing. I was given a Word doc to include in the app. I converted the doc to html and copied it to the project's directory. I also copied the page's _files directory with all the associated graphics files. I included the html, the directory and all the files into the project. I set the Build Action...

For several years the ADO Provider for Internet Publishing has been available in Access for putting files on IIS websites and retrieving them. Public Sub TestADOInternetPublishingProvider() Dim c As ADODB.Connection Set c = New ADODB.Connection c.Open "Provider=MSDAIPP.DSO;Data Source=url=http://www.ffdba.com/" End Sub (I experimented with many different Data Source manifestations.)

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
