Live video streaming requests a plug-in. Please refer to the camera's
documentation, most of them are delivered with a plugin and
specification about how to integrate them in a web page.

Sorry, I don't have the names handy. In the office we use an IP camera
which comes with an ActiveX plug-in for IE, and another one for Mozilla
based browsers. I think Google will help you there.

If your webcam is supported, you could encode the video using Windows Media
Encoder and embed Windows Media Player in a web page to display it. Supported
capture cards are listed here (haven't seen a list for supported cameras):

Hello all, Please provide any advice on a venture that is pretty foreign to me: I'm going to have a webcam at a remote location that is capturing live images of a construction site. This webcam is going to need to stream directly to the clients web site sitting on a webserver with basically unlimited bandwidth. I saw that there are several wireless web cameras provided by D-Link and Linksys that provide a view through a web based...

Hi, Two questions for you all.. Firstly, is there a way of streaming video using PHP? At the moment I just have a link to a video file and the whole thing downloads before playing which is a bit of a chore as the video file is pretty huge. Secondly, I want to restrict access to the video using a password. Can anyone think of a nice way of doing this? I thought about having the video

I did a website for a friend's company where they wanted a 'downloads' section similar to standard file sharing you see all over the place. Everything works great except for video. I know there are codecs involved, however, if i create a video (I've tried mpg, avi, wma so far) I can watch it on my pc from disk just fine. Since my pc is also my test environment, I try to open the same video from the test site and I get the standard 'Can't...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
